Palmyra compiled 13 hits with another strong outing from pitcher Braydon Bown on Friday, guiding them to a victory over Conestoga Valley with a score of 10-3 in the District 3 5A semifinals.

The team with the highest seed and hosting the game narrowed a close 4-3 contest against the Buckskins by scoring six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Willard’s two-run homer led the charge, followed by an additional two runs scoring when Julian Meley’s sacrifice bunt was mishandled.
Alex Dorta contributed two RBIs for the Cougars (22-0), with Nate Osteen, Ty Peck, and Willard each adding two hits.
Jack Hathaway and Adam Strohecker also contributed with two hits and two runs in the victory.
Brown pitched for 5 1/3 innings, conceding four hits along with seven strikeouts prior to yielding to the relief pitcher Clint Bricker.
Coming up next for Palmyra is the championship match against No. 2 Lampeter-Strasburg on Monday. The finale is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Penn Medicine Field in Lancaster.
