The sophomore was announced as the victor of the

2025 Ben Hogan Award

– accolades for being college golf’s top individual player. He is the second golfer from FSU to receive this distinction,

joining John Pak

, who claimed the program’s initial Ben Hogan Award in 2021.

Clanton and the Seminoles are gearing up for the NCAA Championship following

dominating the Tallahassee regional,

securing the team championship with a total of -29 across three rounds, and Clanton claimed the individual championship with an impressive three-round tournament record of -15.

He was the first player in Seminoles history to secure two individual regional championships and played a key role in helping the team earn their second regional title.

During his junior year, Clanton guided the Seminoles to victory in four tournaments, finishing within the top 15 rankings in every event he participated in. His average number of strokes per round for that season was 69.11.

FSU will play in the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California, beginning on May 23 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.
