Gainesville, Fla. (WCJB) — There will soon be an opening on the GRU Authority Board.

I’ve informed the governor’s office. The upcoming meeting will be my final one.

During tonight’s board meeting, Craig Carter revealed that he will step down at the following gathering.

Carter mentioned that he reached out to the governor’s office regarding his departure but hasn’t received a response yet.

He initially became an original appointee of the governor in October 2023 as part of the board. Subsequently, he was reappointed last year due to the necessity of reconstructing the entire board following a legal dispute.
