Gainesville, FL (WCJB)—A man from Gainesville, deemed mentally unfit to face a murder charge, is now undergoing additional psychological assessments.

A judge dismissed two counts of homicide against Cedric Plummer, aged 31, last year.

In 2018, he got arrested for murdering two staff members at Summer Place Villas and abducting one more.

In 2019, a judge determined that Plummer was too incompetent to proceed with the trial.

Last year, after five years in a mental facility, doctors said he’d likely never be stable enough to bring those charges back to trial.

Yesterday, he was taken to the jail for an annual health examination.
