The Cincinnati Reds have placed outfielder Jake Fraley on the injured list due to left calf discomfort and have brought back recently acquired outfielder/first baseman Connor Joe from the IL.

Fraley, who is 29 years old, has maintained a batting average of .205 this season, along with accumulating three home runs and nine RBIs over 28 games. Throughout his seven-year tenure with the Seattle Mariners from 2019 to 2021 and subsequently with the Reds, Fraley holds a lifetime batting average of .246 across 420 matches, including 44 home runs and 165 RBIs.

Joe, who is 32 years old, was obtained via a trade from the San Diego Padres on Friday when he was playing for Triple-A El Paso. In his brief stint with the Padres, which marked his return to his hometown team, he appeared in only seven games without recording a hit in his nine at-bats. At the time of the trade, Joe had been hitting .267 across 16 games with El Paso.

Over his six Major League seasons playing for four distinct teams, Joe has maintained a batting average of .241, along with accumulating 35 home runs and 141 RBIs across 445 games.
