Two down, two to go. With the Masters, won by Rory McIlroy, and the PGA Championship won by Scottie Scheffler in the books, attention in the men’s game turns to the third major of the 2025 season, the U.S. Open.

The tournament this year will take place at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, from June 12 to June 15. It signifies the 125th edition of the U.S. Open.

On Monday, the USGA released an updated list for their tournament fields. This new roster features 27 golfers from the Official World Golf Ranking dated May 19. Among those added was Maverick McNealy, currently placed at number 11, marking his first appearance in the U.S. Open since 2017. Noteworthy mentions include Lucas Glover and Justin Rose joining the lineup as well.

Starting from this point, the lineup will be completed with an additional OWGR update scheduled for June 9 along with the victors of PGA Tour competitions, the winner of the men’s NCAA tournament, and players who qualify through the forthcoming last-chance qualifying rounds.
