Ian Mayer threw 7 1/3 innings in relief, securing the Crabbers’ first loss of the season by allowing only three hits and no runs. Josh Jones opened the game and pitched 4 1/3 innings, conceding five hits and five runs. Warwick accumulated a total of 12 hits, including two each from Joe Lessord, Connor Smith, Michael Bartron, and Aydin Knapp. L.J. Burnette contributed significantly with four RBIs.

Colton Sandiford recorded two hits, including a double and one run batted in for the Clippers. VJ Jackson contributed with two RBIs.

The Bruins concluded their regular season with a record of 16 wins and 5 losses. Logan Adams, Wilson Tone, and Markel Smith all recorded two RBIs each.

WP: Walton Bondurant; LP: Will Hunt
Colton Bingham’s double in the fifth inning drove in two runs to give the Packers the lead. Bondurant pitched four scoreless innings for the win. Hunt pitched six innings for the Falcons and allowed only three hits.

WP: Kyle Kauffman; LP: O’Riyan Mosier
All nine of The Warriors’ runs came during the sixth and seventh innings. Henry Hampton had two hits out of four at-bats, including one double and drove in three runs. Kauffman recorded five strikeouts over his three innings as a reliever and secured the victory.

Bailey Blevins teamed up with Jensyn Koonce to secure the victory. Gabbie Kleier ended the game with two hits, five RBIs, and a three-run homer for the Wildcats.

Evans and Chloe Outland together struck out seven batters. Lucy Domozick had two hits out of three at-bats with four RBIs for the Patriots, and MJ Haesler got three hits out of four at-bats, scoring twice and driving in two more runs.

WP: Kyrsten Wells (7-2)
Anwynn Williams achieved hits in all four at-bats, and Dekya Harris got three safe swings out of three with three RBIs, leading the Comets to victory.

Hailey Lewis had a game where she got three hits out of four at-bats including a double and drove in two runs for the Clippers. Lexi Henley also performed well, getting two hits in four attempts along with driving in two runs, while Gianna Mulvihill hit successfully in two of her three tries at bat. For the Eagles, Zoe Mayes managed to score two times.

Class 6 Region A individual tournament
Western Branch freshman Vedant Bhende earned his way to the singles final, overcoming longtime Landstown star Nolan Macedo 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 in a semifinal on the Bruins’ courts. But because of a conflict with a U.S. Tennis Association event this weekend, Bhende defaulted the final to top-seeded Grant Kroodsma, a James Madison signee. In doubles, the Landstown team of Macedo and Ollie Koenig joined three Richmond-area pairs in the semifinals.

Semifinals:
Kroodsma d. Liu 6-1, 6-0; Bhende d. Macedo 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.

In the quarterfinal round:
Grant Kroodsma and Andy Liu from Deep Run defeated D. Lui and Christian Rodriguez from Cosby with scores of 6-0, 6-0.
Lee and Bowa, seeded fourth at Deep Run, beat Brock Casey and Nathan Botha from Cosby with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-4.
Nolan Macedo and Ollie Koenig, ranked third for Landstown, outplayed William Wallis and Mark Hodges from Glen Allen winning 6-1, 6-2.
Ibrahim Siddiqui partnered with Dawud Siddiqui from Glen Allen took down Troy Beers and Jacob Cales from Western Branch securing victory with identical sets of 6-1, 6-1.
Class 5 Region B team semifinals

The victors from these games will move forward to compete in the state tournament. Notably, both Maury—led by regional top seed John Felts—and Granby aim to return to the state championship after previous appearances.

Following their Bay Rivers District championship, the hosting Tigers defeated the Clippers. The duo of John Sunstone and Jack Hiotellis secured victory with scores of 6-2, 6-0 at first doubles on Friday, sealing the win after play had been halted due to rain on Thursday. As a result, both squads have advanced to the state quarterfinals.

Tori Ford from The Monarchs and Ariana Pazos-Del Aguila from The Comets have stood out as the leading athletes in their area. Ford, who has committed to playing at Division I Loyola Maryland in Baltimore next year, aims to achieve a “Triple Crown” by winning championships in team competition, singles, and doubles within the region.
